3LCM SUPPORTING INDIVIDUAL LEARNING THROUGH COACHING AND MENTORING

 Unit Overview

In order to help you advance in your HR career, the CIPD level 3 certification is designed to provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills. You'll need to know a lot about coaching and mentoring if you're going to be responsible for developing your company's human resources.

You'll be expected to take the position of an HR manager, facilitating and instilling a culture of "coaching and mentoring" as part of the 3LCM exam. Mentoring and coaching can take many forms.
Depending on who you're trying to reach, you may have to differentiate between different kinds of coaching and mentoring. The manner of coaching differs depending on the target audience, the goal, and the facilitator.

Mentoring can take many forms, including induction, peer, and developmental. New workers are mentored during their induction period to help them adapt to the company's procedures. Senior managers are used to support peer mentoring, whereas developmental mentoring is used to help workers rise through the ranks.

One-on-one Coaching: The Stages of a Process


Stages of coaching are accelerated until the desired result is achieved. The four primary steps of the coaching process must be documented in your 3LCM presentation.

Coach and client sign a contract outlining the terms and conditions of the coaching relationship.
Planning: the coach decides how many sessions/periods of the procedure to run.
This is the real coaching process, which includes the use of the essential coaching instruments.
When the provisions of the contract are met, the procedure comes to an end and is called an exit.
The coach is responsible for creating a strong relationship with the coachee and understanding the coachee's strengths and flaws.

3LCM has a number of other problems.


Additionally, you should go over the four phases of mentoring: introduction, action planning, continuous mentoring, and exit. Successful mentoring takes enough forethought and foresight.

Additionally, it is crucial to document all of the coaching and mentoring actions that take place over the course of the programme. A recording template should be used in coaching and mentoring sessions. One should follow the OSCAR model when recording in order to get a clear picture of the outcome, the situation, the choices and repercussions, and the actions.
